Chris Cathers brings over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, spanning roles from sales to delivery to executive leadership. Over the past five years, he has served as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) and trusted advisor, helping organizations build stronger security programs, improve compliance, and develop cultures of awareness and accountability.
Throughout his career, Chris has led high-performing teams and guided organizations through complex security challenges. His experience ranges from building incident response programs and risk frameworks to aligning technology strategy with business outcomes. Known for his calm, practical approach, Chris helps leaders see beyond technical threats to focus on what truly drives security—clarity, communication, and culture.
Through his company Grit Meets Growth, Chris now combines his security expertise with his passion for leadership, coaching, and personal development. He works with leaders and teams to strengthen mindset, build resilience, and create intentional growth—helping people lead with clarity, purpose, and confidence in every area of life and work.
